Hey everyone, welcome back. I'm Mishukasma and as I shared in the very first episode of the series, I work around UX content and strategy, understanding how design, words, and structure come together to shape digital experiences. I also work with teams at Design Studio UI UX where a lot of our everyday conversation revolves around how real users actually experience digital products. If you have been listening to the early episodes, you probably know we have been touching different parts of the digital space and how small decisions online shape pick experiences. And today I want to continue that conversation with something that's changing how we use the internet every single day. We are going to talk about AI inside websites. And I know the moment we hear AI, most of us picture robots, futuristic screen, or something overly technical. But the truth is, AI is already part of our everyday browsing. When we shop, read articles, search for information, we just don't always notice it. So let me give you a simple scenario to think about. You open a website looking for something specific. Instead of clicking through five menus, scrolling endless or getting lost, you type one question and you get exactly what you need. There is no confusion, no friction, just you can see clarity. And honestly, that's AI doing its job really well. When it works smoothly, you don't even notice the technology. You just feel like the website gets you. What's interesting is this isn't just a fancy trend or something that looks impressive on the slides. That there's actually data showing that businesses see results from this, not just in user happiness, but in revenue too. For instance, studies from Mackenzie point out that companies using AI for personalization can see revenue of up to 40%, and 40% is huge. That's not a tiny improvement, it's a serious shift and in performance. And if you think about it from a user point of view, it makes complete sense. Most people today expect websites to feel tailored to them. In fact, more than two-thirds of the users now assume some level of personalization, and a lot of them get annoyed when a website feels generative or out of touch with what they actually need. Now let's talk about engagement because that's where things get really interesting. When websites integrate AI tools like smart search recommendations or conversational assistant, users tend to stay longer, they explore more and they return more often. There was an e-commerce study where users who interacted with AI assistant completed purchase almost 50% faster than their conversion rates were four times higher than users who didn't use AI support. Think about that for a moment. Four times higher simply because the experiences were smoother. And this doesn't just stop at chatbots. And honestly, the AI that helps the most aren't even a big flashy ones. It's usually the small stuff you barely notice, like when an article, when you read an article, like you want a quick summary that, or when the search bar somehow understands what you meant instant of what you type. Even those you might also like the suggestion, sometimes they are weird, sometimes they are spot on. Voice is another interesting one. A lot of people who try buying something just by speaking actually end up liking it more than they expected. And once they get used to it, they go back to it again, mostly because it's just easier. You don't have to type, you don't have to scroll, you don't say it, and you just say it you can and move on. Why? Because uh convenience builds trust and trust builds loyalty. But here's the important part AI doesn't replace good design, it amplifies good design. A poorly designed interface with AI is still trustating, but a well-designed interface with intelligent assistant becomes effortless. From a UI UX perspective, AI acts like a navigation layer on the top of the website. Instead of forcing users to adapt to them, the system adapts to the user, and that shift is powerful. First it was static, just pages and information. Now it becomes interactive through buttons, forms, animation. Now it becomes intelligent. Websites are no longer just a place we visit. Websites are a kind of changing now. They don't just sit there anymore, they react a little, they guide you and there, and sometimes it even feels like they know what you are about to search with before you finish typing. And the companies that are doing this well aren't just jumping on the AI trend for the sake of it, they're using it because it's genuinely making things easier for people. And when something feels easy, you don't really think twice, you just stay longer, come back again, and over the time you start trusting it without even realizing why. So honestly, AI on website isn't really about stuffing it with fancy features or showing off new tech, it's more about getting rid of those small irritations, clearing the clutter and making the whole experience feel smoother and less tiring for the person using it. And when technology starts feeling human, that's when users stop visiting website and start trusting them like a friend. You feel that too, right? That's the moment when a site gets you.
